Gail's Terrariums -- Little T #1
This is the little terrarium that we put together last winter. It's a 2.5 gallon aquarium, 13x6x8 inches, with a little fluorescent light strip above the glass canopy. I gave it a major trim yesterday (May 24, '09, Sunday), more like just pulling stuff out blindly. It was seriously overgrown!
From left to right:
- miniature fluffy ruffles fern
- mini begonia Rhinestone Jeans - grows like a weed!
- in the center, the star of the terrarium, the infamous WALKING FERNS, Asplenium rhizophyllum! (OK, it's not infamous except in Gail's brain and what's left of my brain.)
- barely visible, variegated-leaf mini African violet Arctic Fox. It's a young plant, and will soon put out some really goofy-looking blossoms known as "wasps".
- also barely visible, semi-mini African violet Snow Leopard.
- barely visible, in front of Snow Leopard, another micro, Caladium humboltii var Marcel.
- At the back, to the right, the little "tree" is a variegated Serissa foetida cultivar (i'll dig up the name and edit it in later).
